Friday, January 20th update
Posted by RoyAdmin on 2012/1/22 15:21:59 (15 reads)

Good morning everyone,

Very hectic last couple of days....

The good news is that the water main has been repaired and we did not sustain any damage to any area where children are present. The issue did not involve any classroom or public meeting/gathering space. However, we are not allowed to open school without access to water.

Just so you know, we have now used our 2 snow days/emergency days. So, it's Chicago after all, if we need to take any future emergency/snow days every one we take we will now have to add on the calendar. But hey....let's just cross that bridge when and if it comes.

We do are best to get emergency information out to all our families via School Reach phone system, website, e-mail and our school's Facebook page. If you did not receive a School Reach phone call the last 3 evenings please contact Mrs. Oslowski in the office to make sure your updated number is in our system. It is important that we receive changes in phone numbers and e-mails.

In case of possible future school closings and before calling the school line always:

1. Expect a Phone call through School Reach
2. Expect an e-mail
3. Check the front page of our website www.sttars.org4. Check the school's Facebook page
5. Go to www.emergencyclosingcenter.com and check for our school name

Thanks again for your understanding and helping get the word out to each other as well.

And now the rush hour snow....Sweet Home Chicago!
